Its a New Year again!

Anyhow, have been busy creating a collection of couture headpieces for Spring Summer 2012. All going well but I have the most difficult 2 to finish this week!! Photoshoot later in the month promising to be an exciting one.

Shortlisted for another award!

My mantra....'must blog some more, must blog some more'.
A great night was had with the fashion innovation awards, I didn't come home with the prize - it was won by a scarf designer. But I met loads of really nice people, like-minded people and generally let the hair down! Took it easy for a day or 2 afterwards, badly needed!
Well this week has been eventful as I have been shortlilsted for another award, this time its down to Kerry. Will be heading really early on Sunday morning for an afternoon of fashion. Wil keep you posted.

Fashion Innovation Awards 2011

It now seems like old news, but just over a week ago I got an unexpected email stating that I was shortlisted as a finalist for the presigious awards which will be held on April 5th in the Galway Radisson Blu Hotel. my category is Accessory Designer, where  am up there with 2 other milliners, 2 bag designers and a scarf designer!

I submitted images of 3 of my headpieces so I guess they will be the pieces strutting their way down the catwalk on the night.

hmmmm.... now what to wear, an understated dress and an overstated headpiece me thinks.....I have 3 weeks to get cracking on a cracker of a headsculpture!!

The New Year

Well into the new year at  this stage and I have promised myself I will blog a bit more! It will be mostly hats but a little distraction from millinery was my twins 7th birthday cake I made at the weekend. They are big into science experiments so we had a mad science party. Here's the cake!
